From farrow to finish our hogs are raised right here on the farm. We work at every step of their growth to minimize stress and maintain a natural growth rate for flavorful, nutritious meat. Our pigs are outside on grass from day 1 where they are free to roam the pasture and get plenty of exercise. We supplement their feed with locally sourced non-gmo grains that are corn and soy-free. Our meat is free from added chemicals, hormones and growth-promoting antibiotics.
Idaho Pasture Pigs are a new breed consisting of a mix of old line Berkshire, Duroc and Kune kune pigs. They are bred to have well marbled, dark meat that reaches market weight at 10 months of age. This slower growth allows for more fat to penetrate into the muscle leaving you with mouthwatering flavor.
